The aim of this study is to compare the level of physical abilities of boys of older school age involved in handball and the general population, using the test battery of the Czech Handball Association 2020. A total of 53 test subjects, divided into two groups (general population and handball players) filled in a questionnaire that was created for the purpose of the study and were subsequently tested with a battery of tests, consisting of agility T-test, dribbling after the "figure eight", shooting speed, long jump from the spot and Beep test. The results showed that the handball group performed better in all the tested disciplines, except for the agility T-test. The aim of the thesis was achieved as well as answering each of the research questions, and an interesting recommendation is the possibility of using the test battery to select new players for a team.
The difference of students movement abilities depending on the type of attended school
Závěrková, Eliška ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Hájková, Jana (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is to determine and compare the movement abilities of ninth-grade elementary school students and students of the same age from high schools called "gymnázium". The UNIFITTEST 6-60 test battery was used to determine the level of movement abilities. The sub-goals of the thesis are to compare the obtained results with population norms, compare somatic conditions of both research groups, and compare movement abilities with respect to gender. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and research part. In the theoretical section, we first focus on the definition, classification, and description of movement abilities. Then, the history and composition of the UNIFITTEST 6-60 test profile are presented. Furthermore, the theoretical section includes chapters on age-related specifics of youth aged 14-15 years, differences in physical education and sport lessons in both types of schools and a review of available literature. The research section is devoted to the measurement process, description of research groups, and analysis of results. The conclusion of the thesis includes a discussion and evaluation of the obtained data. The results of this thesis confirm the hypothesis that students from gymnasiums show better movement abilities than elementary school students. However, the...
Determination of the motor performance level using the Unifittest test battery at the Grammar School and the High School of Economics in Sedlčany
PINKAS, Štěpán
In this graduation thesis a sample of 237 pupils of the Grammar School and the High School of Economics in Sedlčany was tested by using Unifittest test battery to determinate the motor performance level. The weighted arithmetic mean of the total score of the test battery for all the pupils was 18,3 points, which means that the final evaluation of motor performance level is bellow average. The best results were achieved in pull-ups test with the weighted arithmetic mean was 5,3 points, which matches average evaluation, however, only boys aged 15-19 years were tested. Also, in the both-feet-long-jump-from-stay test the pupils reached average evaluation with 5,1 points of weighted arihmetic mean. The worst evaluation of the pupils was in 12-minute-running test, where the weighted arithmetic mean was 4,0 points and the evaluation was below average. The weighted arithmetic mean in the sit-up test was 4,2 points, in the 4x10 meter-shuttle-run test the pupils got 4,5 points (only pupils 11-14 years old) and in the pull-up endurance test the result was 4,7 points (only girls 15-19 years old). The evaluation of these tests is between average and bellow the average.
Creation and verification of specialized training sets for fire sport
VORÁČKOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of this diploma thesis was to create and confirm a set of specialised trainings for fire sport. There were adults older than 18 and children and teenagers aged 8-17 in tested groups for this thesis. The firefighters were from the Volunteer Fire Department Omlenice. A quasi-experiment method was used in this thesis. Entrance testing was performed at the beginning of winter training and after ten specialised trainings, final testing was performed. The testing was implemented through Denisiuk test, which was focused on velocity skills, explosive power, power skills, endurance and agility skills. Obtained results were recorded in graphs and charts and evaluated. Through the paired t-test, statistical significance was verified and through Cohen´s d, practical significance was verified. The hypotheses were confirmed at most of the tests because these were statistically significant with a mild or medium effects, however some had to be eliminated at tests with statistically insignificant results.

Title: The relation of laterality and selection of rotation direction in figure skating at children in preschool and younger school age Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to construct a test battery on the ice surface, to assess the laterality, i. e. the preferred lower limb and the preferred side of rotation and turning, for beginning figure skaters in preschool and younger school age. Subsequently, individual items of this test battery are examined with items from the standardized test battery for the child population aged 8-10 years, according to Musálek (2013). The relationships of individual test items are determined in order to determine whether the individual test items on the ice surface can be used to represent a relatively reliable tool for determining the rotation direction of a beginning figure skater. Methods: We use testing by standardized battery of tests according to Musálek (2013) for the diagnosis of motor manifestations of laterality for children aged 8-10. Next is used testing by created test battery on the ice surface, which should fulfill the purpose of demonstrate the preferred lower limb, or the preferred side of rotation and turning. Results: Test battery created for use on the ice surface shows some reliability only for test items that are designed to express the...
